What should I do if my payment is declined?
If your payment is declined, you'll need to place your order again as we can't reinstate an order once the payment has failed. The 'Your Topshop order was unsuccessful' email gives you the option to re-add the items. Simply click the 'Recover Items' button and place the order again.
To avoid payment issues with future orders, we suggest checking the following:
- Check your card details - Ensure your expiry date, billing address, and other information on your Topshop account are correct.
- Enter the security code correctly - This is the three-digit number on the back of your card.
- Check with your bank - Your card issuer may have declined the payment, but they don’t share the reason with us. Contact them for more details.
- Try another payment method - If your payment keeps getting declined, using a different card may help.
- 3D Secure verification - If your payment was declined due to security measures, contact your bank for further information.
If you’ve received an error message at checkout, please contact Customer Care with as many details as possible, including the exact error message, and we'll do our best to resolve the issue quickly.
