5 Fresh Ways To Layer Up In Denim This Autumn Winter 2020

In autumn and winter, wearing denim is all about layering up and playing with texture. To fully master the trend, you’ll need some denim jacket and jean combinations, borg details and hints of vinyl to master the trend. We put together five different outfits, ranging from the classic Canadian tuxedo to something that feels a little more right now, to get you started on some inspiration. Start scrolling and find the denim look that feels the most you and be bang on trend all season long…

1. The classics

The most classic way to layer with denim is better known as the Canadian tuxedo. By pairing a denim jacket and jeans of the same colour family, you easily achieve a totally ’90s vibe that is easily layered with tees, jumpers and a heavier coat on top. You can try this with all types of denim washes – like ecru or black – but our favourite is always the staple mid-blue.

2. Hey ’70s

Our favourite era for fashion will forever be the ’70s, which is why we’re so in love with our black denim jumpsuit. To keep with the theme, we’ve styled it with a bright green shoulder bag and some retro-feel sunglasses. Then, to layer up for the cold, we’ve added our borg biker jacket in white which contrasts perfectly with the washed black denim.

3. Checkmate

This season, printed denim is all the rage. We’re obsessed with our carpenter jeans and oversized shacket co-ord in navy check for 2020 and are sure you will be too. Our favourite way to style is with a graphic tee or, if you want to make it feel more formal, opt for a roll neck jumper instead. Add some chunky boots and this season’s trending bag and you’re good to go.

4. Make it modern

Contrary to popular belief, denim dresses aren’t just for the summer months. When styled with chunky boots and a vinyl trench coat, it suddenly becomes completely cold-weather appropriate and perfect for autumn winter. We love the mixture of denim with more trending textures like borg and vinyl in this look which make it feel that little more modern.

5. Something subtle

If you’re not willing to go for a completely matchy-matchy look when it comes to your layered denim looks, you can instead pair two different washes together to make it more subtle. For this we love going for an ecru jean and a washed black. Then, to add a little something extra make your shoe the statement with our croc heeled boots.
